spicy orange babecue tiger prawns

 

3/4 cup (175 mL) Western Family Spicy Orange Sauce
340g bag Western Family Raw Black Tiger Prawns
1 cup (250 mL) cherry tomatoes
6 green onions, trimmed to 3 inch (7.5 cm) lengths
8 orange wedges
6 bamboo skewers
Western Family Cooking and Baking Spray
Western Family Jasmine Rice

1. Remove shells from the tiger prawns, tails can be left attached. Cover and marinate in Spicy Orange Sauce in fridge for 1 hour.

2. Thread the skewers with the prawns, alternating with whole cherry tomatoes, green onions and orange slices.

3. Spray the barbecue with non-stick spray, and sear skewers 2 to 3 minutes. Brush with marinade and turn. Sear the other side 2 to 3 minutes. The shrimp are cooked when they turn opaque and firm. Serve sizzling hot, with any remaining sauce for dipping, on a bed of rice.

Makes 6 skewers (3 prawns per skewer.)
