sour cream coffee cake
Topping:
50 mL (1/4 cup) brown sugar
5 mL (1 tsp) cinnamon
50 mL (1/4 cup) Chopped Walnuts
Batter:
125 mL (1/2 cup) Western Family Butter
250 mL (1 cup) sugar
2 Eggs
7 mL (1 1/2 tsp) Western Family Baking Powder
2 mL (1/2 tsp) baking soda
375 mL (1 1/2 cups) Western Family All-Purpose Flour
250 mL (1 cup) sour cream

Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Mix together topping ingredients and then
set aside.

In another bowl, beat together butter and sugar. Add eggs and continue
to beat until light and creamy.

Add baking powder, baking soda, flour and sour cream and beat until well
blended.
Turn 2/3 of batter into oiled spring form pan or large cake pan. Sprinkle
with 2/3 of the topping mixture. Carefully swirl knife through batter
and topping. Add remaining batter. Sprinkle remaining topping over batter.
Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 30-35 minutes. Yield 12-14 servings.
