hot cranberry sangria

c. (500 mL) Western Family cranberry cocktail
1-750 mL bottle of Chianti (or other dry red wine)
3 tbsp. (45 mL) brandy
4 to 5 tbsp. (60 to 75 mL) packed golden sugar
1 lemon
1 orange
Cinnamon sticks (optional)
Dried cranberries (optional)

Combine the cranberry cocktail, wine, brandy and sugar in a saucepan over
medium heat.

Use a potato peeler to take a large coil of peel from the lemon and orange.
Float in the liquid.
3.
Squeeze both fruit and add juice to pan; stir. When mixture starts to
bubble, set timer for 25 minutes.
4.
Remove peel coils. Serve in mugs with cinnamon sticks for stirring and
dried cranberries floating on top, if desired.
Note:
This drink may be made in a crock-pot over a longer period of time.
