barbecued beef bunwiches
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped green pepper
16 oz. (500g) beef top round sandwich steak, cut into strips
1 can (7.5 oz.) Western Family Tomato Sauce
2 tbsp. Western Family Vinegar
2 tsp. brown sugar
1 tsp. dry mustard
1/2 tsp. each chili powder, basil, salt
1/4 tsp. celery seed
6 Western Family Hamburger Buns

In a microwave safe casserole dish, combine onion, green pepper and 2
tbsp. of water. Stir in beef, then cover. Microwave on high for 3 minutes.

Stir, then cover and cook on medium for 15 minutes. Stir again after 5
minutes. Drain off liquid.

Stir in tomato sauce, vinegar, sugar and spices. Cover and cook on medium
for 5-10 minutes, or until meat is tender, stirring occasionally.
Spoon onto hamburger buns.

4-6 servings.
