apple blackcurrant cider

c. (1 L) unsweetened apple cider
2 tbsp. (30 mL) blackcurrant syrup*
1 tsp. (5 mL) whole cloves
1 tsp. (5 mL) whole allspice
2 large cinnamon sticks
1 tbsp. (15 mL) brown sugar, or to taste
1 tbsp. (15 mL) grated orange peel

We used Ribena Concentrate.

In a saucepan, combine all ingredients; simmer over medium heat for
10 to 15 minutes.

Strain hot cider and serve in mugs with cinnamon sticks and orange peel
for garnish.

Note: The longer the cider simmers, the stronger the flavour of the
spices.
